Eva's students Avanzado 2

Recommended reading list for Christmas:
"Amsterdam", by Ian McEwan
"The Age of Iron", by Coetzee
and the short stories by Oscar Wilde

You have to choose only one of these readings: all of them are very enjoyable. I hope you join in the fun.
You will find some guidelines for comments next week.
All your responses to the guidelines and topics for discussion are very welcome. Feel free to give you views and have a good holiday!

I have read the "long letter" of Coetzee. It has been a little bit difficult, especially at the beginnig. But I have enjoyed it very much.
Must we wait for the guidelines or perhaps we are supposed to do free comments?

Hi,

I´m Inma and I have chosen `Oscar Wilde Short Stories´ book. At last I found the version without adapting and though I have just read three stories at the moment, I love them a lot, for the argument and for the way of writing, simple and clear. Up to now, my favorite is `The Nightingale and the Rose´, for the suffering and the distress that transmits, although the three stories follow the same line and the main characters have a sad ending.

There are still several stories to read so I hope to enjoy them as much as I,ve done.
